Welcome to Beth the Hunter. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using our managed web application, AI agents, and career management tools (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using Beth the Hunter, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
1. The Service
Beth the Hunter is a managed web application designed to help users organize career information, evaluate job opportunities, prepare application material, and manage professional-search workflows. The Service provides information, analytical insights, and drafting support; it is not an employment agency, recruitment firm, career counselor, legal adviser, or guaranteed-placement service.
2. No Job, Interview, or Outcome Guarantee
Beth the Hunter does not promise, warrant, or guarantee that a user will obtain a job, interview, offer, client engagement, relocation opportunity, salary increase, or any other professional outcome. Career decisions, application submissions, communications with employers, and employment relationships remain solely the responsibility of the user and the relevant third parties.
3. Evidence, AI Output, and User Review
AI-assisted outputs (including tailored CVs, cover letters, profile statements, and job-match scores) are working materials.
- User Review Required: Users must review and verify every analysis, document, profile statement, and output generated by the AI before relying on, publishing, or sharing it.
- Accuracy & Truthfulness: Users must not use the Service to create false, misleading, exaggerated, or unsupported claims about their work experience, qualifications, legal work authorization, availability, or achievements. You remain fully responsible for the truthfulness of your application materials.
4. Intellectual Property & User Content
- User Content: You retain full ownership of all personal documents, experience records, CVs, and assessment documents you choose to upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Beth the Hunter a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, parse, and display your Content solely to deliver, maintain, and personalize the Service for you.
- Platform Intellectual Property: Beth the Hunter, its software, branding, underlying algorithms, user interface, and proprietary AI workflows are the exclusive property of the company. You are granted a limited, non-assignable, revocable license to access the platform for personal, non-commercial career management.
5. Confidentiality, Discretion, and Data Protection
Beth the Hunter is designed to handle job-search information as sensitive professional context and to restrict access to authorized users.
Data Privacy: Our collection and processing of personal data, CVs, and assessment documents you upload are governed by our Privacy Policy.
- No AI Model Training: We do not sell your personal data or use your uploaded CVs or private candidate context to train publicly accessible foundation AI models. Your documents are sent to the AI provider you configure yourself (through your own OpenRouter key) solely to generate the outputs you request; that provider's own privacy policy governs how it handles request content.
- Security: Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect your information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users must not upload information or third-party documents they are not authorized to provide.
6. Account Use and External Actions
- Candidate-Directed Use and Professional Guidance: You may use the Service to manage your own career, and you may receive individualized guidance from a career coach, outplacement adviser, recruiter or headhunter, mentor, or similar professional in connection with your career planning, job search, and materials prepared with the Service. Such a professional may help you discuss role requirements, fit results, career evidence, and hiring assumptions. A separate fee that the professional charges you for that individualized guidance does not, by itself, make your personal use of the Service commercial, transfer any right in your account to the professional, or grant the professional or their organization an independent license to access or operate the Service. You remain the account holder: you control your account and your career decisions, and you are responsible for everything done through your account. This permission covers your individual use only — it does not permit one account to be used for multiple candidates, candidate data to be processed in bulk, the Service to be resold, or the Service to be used for employer-side screening or hiring decisions. Those uses require separate written terms with us.
- Account Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities performed through their accounts. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
- Human-in-the-Loop Control: Beth the Hunter does not automatically submit job applications, send outreach messages, publish content, or take actions on a user’s external accounts or email services without an explicit, user-supported approval workflow. You retain final control over every submission.
7. Service Operation and Usage Monitoring
Beth the Hunter is delivered as a hosted, managed service. To maintain service availability, optimize LLM token capacity, and prevent system abuse across global regions, Beth the Hunter may collect and analyze technical operational data such as service load, API request volume, error rates, and response times. These technical signals are used strictly for infrastructure reliability and product performance and are never used to make career or hiring decisions.
8. Acceptable Use
Users agree to comply with all applicable laws, third-party platform terms, and these Terms. You expressly agree that you will not:
- Use the Service to impersonate any person or entity.
- Harvest personal data or scrape information from the platform.
- Attempt to bypass system controls, rate limits, or access controls.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or corrupted files.
- Use the Service to generate deceptive, defamatory, or unlawful professional materials.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BETH THE HUNTER, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 USD OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO BETH THE HUNTER IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Termination and Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, violate applicable laws, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform. You may terminate your account at any time through your dashboard settings.
12. Changes and Support
Beth the Hunter may update the Service and these Terms from time to time as the product evolves. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate service notice or email notification prior to becoming effective. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
For questions, support, or notices regarding these Terms, please contact us through the product's designated support channel or at support@beththehunter.com.
