This Privacy Policy describes how Beth the Hunter ("Beth," "the Service," "we," "us") handles user information, execution context, and career documents.
Maytek.CO acts solely as the software developer and technical operator of Beth the Hunter. Maytek.CO provides the hosted infrastructure and code base but does not act as a recruitment agency, candidate sponsor, employment broker, or data controller for candidate employment decisions.
Signing in with Google
- Beth The Hunter offers "Sign in with Google" so you can access the app at app.beththehunter.com without creating or remembering a separate password.
- Through Google's official OAuth 2.0 sign-in, the app accesses only basic Google profile data: your name, email address, and profile picture.
- This data is used solely to create and authenticate your account and to personalize your profile. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not shared with data brokers, and is not used to train AI or machine-learning models.
- Authentication data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- You can delete your account — and with it the associated Google-linked profile data Beth stores — at any time from your dashboard. Deletion is permanent. Deleting your Beth account does not delete your Google account or any data held by Google.
How to request data deletion: delete your account from your dashboard (My Profile → Delete account & data), or email support@beththehunter.com (product support) or privacy@maytek.co (developer contact). We honour deletion requests without undue delay.
1. Developer Liability & Relationship Disclaimer
- Developer Role: Maytek.CO designs, deploys, and maintains the technical architecture of Beth the Hunter. Maytek.CO is not a party to any hiring process, interview, or employment contract resulting from the use of Beth.
- No Agency or Representation: The use of Beth does not create an employment agency, headhunting, or legal representation relationship between Maytek.CO and the user. Maytek.CO disclaims all liability for employment outcomes, hiring rejections, or career decisions made using the Service.
2. Your Saved Hunt & Session Data
Beth is built so you can pause a search and come back to it. Your hunting session is intentionally persistent: the Service saves your profile and hunting information in a private database so you can resume your search, follow up on recruiting processes, and keep your evidence attached to every opportunity. Everything below is saved until you edit or delete it, or until you delete your account:
- Profile & evidence: your contact details, the CV text you provide (and its source metadata), and the structured scorecard extracted from that CV.
- Hunt workspace: the opportunities you track, your applications and their outcomes, feedback ratings, and notes.
- Search configuration & results: your search tracks (keywords, locations, sectors, schedules), dated hunt-front snapshots of those settings, and the job results your bots find.
- Generated documents: every tailored CV and cover letter Beth creates for you.
- AI settings: your model preference and your OpenRouter API key, stored encrypted.
- Account records: sign-in sessions (including login time, IP address, and device metadata), per-feature usage counters, email digest logs, and product analytics events.
3. AI Processing & Model Choice
Beth produces fit analysis, scorecards, and tailored documents by sending your confirmed CV evidence and the job description to an AI model. You choose and configure that model yourself, through your own OpenRouter account and API key:
- Purpose-bound processing: your career evidence is sent to the model only to produce the analysis or document you explicitly request.
- Your key, your provider: requests are made with your personal OpenRouter key to the provider and model you select. That provider's own privacy policy governs how it handles request content; Beth does not control provider-side retention and cannot promise zero retention on the provider's behalf.
- No model training by Beth: Beth does not use your documents to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models, and does not sell your personal data.
- CV uploads: a file you upload is parsed in memory to extract its text; the original file is not kept — only the extracted text and the file name you supplied.
4. What We Store & Why
| Data Type | Storage Status | Purpose & Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Profile, CV evidence & scorecard | Saved until you delete it | Lets Beth score fit honestly and tailor documents against your confirmed evidence; you can resume and refine it at any time. |
| Opportunities, applications & feedback | Saved until you delete it | Your private hunt workspace, application history, and follow-up pipeline. |
| Search tracks & bot results | Saved until you delete it | Re-runs your configured searches and suppresses duplicates between runs. |
| Generated CVs & cover letters | Saved until you delete them | Your document history for review, reuse, and export. |
| AI provider key & settings | Saved encrypted | Authenticates model requests under your own OpenRouter account. |
| Sessions, usage & analytics events | Saved per account | Sign-in security, digest delivery, and product operation. These records are tied to your account — they are not anonymous. |
5. Who Can See Your Saved Hunt
- Only you, through your signed-in account: every hunt record is scoped to your user account by the application's data-access rules, and other users cannot see or browse your saved information.
- No headhunter or adviser access: Beth has no headhunter, recruiter, or adviser account type, and no interface for a third party to browse your hunt. Any future adviser-style access would require your explicit consent and would be described here.
- No routine admin browsing: the service administration console manages configuration and diagnostics (integrations, email templates, system health). It provides no interface for reading users' hunts, CVs, or generated documents.
- Operator reality: Maytek.CO operates the servers and database that hold your data and could technically access them for maintenance or support. We do not routinely browse user content, and we do not claim an absolute guarantee that no operator or infrastructure provider could ever access stored data.
6. Deleting Your Account & Data Retention
- In-product deletion: from your dashboard (My Profile → Delete account & data) you can permanently delete your account. Deletion immediately removes your profile and CV evidence, scorecard, opportunities, applications, feedback, search tracks and bot results, generated documents, AI key and settings, sessions, and usage records in a single transactional operation. This cannot be undone.
- What outlives deletion: billing records for past purchases are retained for accounting with your user reference removed (anonymized). Database backups and server logs on the hosting infrastructure age out on the provider's retention schedule and cannot be individually purged.
- Email list: if you joined the Beth onboarding email list, use the unsubscribe link in any Beth email to remove that entry.
- Google: deleting your Beth account does not delete your Google account or any data held by Google.
7. Telemetry & Operational Logs
Beth keeps product analytics events and per-feature usage counters tied to your account (for example, when an analysis runs or a document is generated). These are operational records, not anonymous metrics: they are linked to your account and used to run, secure, and improve the Service — never to make hiring decisions. Server logs may include account identifiers such as your email address in operational log lines (for example, when a transactional email is sent) and age out on the host schedule. Beth does not track your browsing outside the Service and does not sell or commercialize your search history.
